What I wore - Inspired by Kendieveryday

Have you seen Kendi's blog, I am such a fan! She always inspires me to dress up everyday!

This outfit is one of them... So, how do you think I did? Good? So-so? 

I was also 'smitten' by her two-toned necklace so I decided to do a little DIY necklace which I wore in our recent family photoshoot...

What I wore:

I'm seeing lots of these lately and I'm currently obsessed as I have these items in my closet - leather jacket and flowy pleated maxi dress.... I plan to wear them when the weather permits... I hope NYE is not as cold as christmas eve was...

What I wore -- Jeggings with belt!

Yes, you got that right!

I experimented with my outfit today and bravely tucked my white tuxedo top in my jeggings and wore my favorite wide brown belt... I don't like it when I first saw it in pictures but this outfit eventually grew on me...

I also love that my new shoes and very old cardi are the same colors...

You see, I was inspired with these two outfits and was trying to work around these color palette...

What I wore -- Cut-offs + Fedora

I'm taking advantage of the perfect weather we're having at the moment, (not hot, not too cold either) wearing shorts while I still can before the temperature drops down further...

I'm wearing this belt and my new shoes.

What I wore - Trip to IKEA

It was very hot last Sunday [yes, even when the A/C is turned on], the hubs suggested we go hang out someplace cooler... I was glad he said that because I've been itching to go to IKEA ever since last weekend and he said, as if reading my mind, "let's go to IKEA!" 

So, to IKEA we went and this is what I wore...

Celebrity Outfit Inspiration - Hilary Duff

I never used to like Hilary Duff's fashion sense, let alone notice her,

but things changed after she got married... She seem to exude a certain aura nowadays,

i find her getting  prettier and prettier,  

i guess married life suits her...

I've been looking for inspiration in dressing up for fall, which means scarves, boots and layering and she is almost always pictured with a scarf and big chunky earring on, whatever she is wearing...

Here in her photo above, I tried to copy her outfit and I really liked how it turned out!

I love her style instantly! I will be paying a li'l bit more attention to her now and her choices of clothes...

In this post, I talked about how i went crazy shopping for stripey outfits and ended up having one too many stripey outfit in my wardrobe, so wearing them and styling them differently becomes a challenge...

Thus, i'd be featuring one stripey outfit at a time in the following posts,

We went to christmas warehouse in SZ city, it suddenly felt like I'm in the middle of Divisoria, sans the garbage!

Outfit Inspiration for Fall - Stripes+Pink+Gray+Denims

I recently been to a shopping trip and all I saw displayed in stores were stripes! Even some of the shoppers were wearing one, either in combo of black & white, gray & white, gray & black, and so I said to myself, maybe i'd buy a few! A few? I ended up buying almost every 'striped' thing I saw...[I hope my husband doesn't get to read this!]

Tsk tsk! I really have a problem, I know! I need a good spanking right now!

So, now that I have one too many striped thing in my closet, how i'd wear them is a dilemma!

And so, when I saw this,

a light bulb inside my head suddenly lit up [I watched a lot of cartoons]...

I instantly thought 'inspiration'!

I especially liked the idea of combining pink, white & gray with a pop of turquoise and gold,

I never would've thought that gold would go nicely with gray...

So, here's stripey outfit no.1!

I modified it a bit since I'm dressing up for Fall... I ditched the gold sandals and put on my slouchy pink/old rose boots with a strip of silver on each side, it's really, really old like 3 years old old, and it's also really, really cheap like Php200.00 cheap! I'm not kidding! I bought it at 25yuan (x6.8 more or less) in March 2007, at the tail-end of winter. It's my all-time favorite boots coz it has wedge heels which adds a good 2 inches to my height but despite that it's very light and comfy to walk on in, and it's pink, of course! Also, I used my pink sweater [also old, 2004 or 2005 can't even remember], in case it gets chilly in the afternoon/night, just wrapped it around my neck, instead of the short-sleeved blouse.

Did I mention that I bought almost every stripey thing i saw? Yes? So, you know this is not gonna be the first and last stripey post of mine that you're gonna see, right?

Technically, it's still summer here... And the outfit above is perfect for leisure strolls on weekends... One day, i'll try to recreate this outfit, i have the same colored (is that coral?) tunic top from Bershka and a similar looking black sandals found in this post. Yep, one of these days...
