New loot - riding boots

This winter I haven't bought any new boots, all the boots I'm using were from last year and some were already looking a little bit worn out and so when I saw some riding boots similar  to the ones pictured below, I had to get them! It looks nice but it was a little hard on the toes and not for walking long distances or going around art villages ... I probably need some thick socks to wear with it...

Oh well... as long as it looks nice =)

Oh, the sacrifices you go through for fashion's sake!

Hubs and I went to Dafen Art Village just 10 mins. from our area. It is a village where most of the people who live there are artists, painters, sculptors, carvers etc. The whole village is transformed into a huge outdoor gallery, even the buildings are dressed in awesome colors, it's amazing! 

Here are some of the snapshots I wanna share with you...

 Creating art/painting is their basic livelihood, they sell their work for really cheap prices... We've seen a couple painting that we'd like to buy when we come back there.

What I wore - trip to IKEA

It's crazy cold here right now and it's getting hard to get dressed or to even get up in the morning for that matter... So basically, for like everyday, I just stay in my PJ's or sweats with up to the knee socks and warm, comfy hoodie to make me feel warm... But I'm not gonna show you that look, no way haha!

This is when we went to IKEA yesterday, it was around 11 degress Celsius at noon, with cold wind blowing, my face turned soo dry it's almost close to cracking, I hate when that happens...

 I was wearing black turtleneck sweater inside my H&M trench coat and I also got to wear my animal print scarf for the first time! Wearing my 1-yr. old boots and mustard yellow bag for just a pop of color for winter....

What I Wore -- Christmas Day 2009

I have a confession to make...

I'm not much of a earring or bracelet wearer, but...

I am big on necklaces --- the statement kind...

when I see one, It kinda lures me into buying even if I already have a similar one...

 i think the above necklace looks a lot like this one i own but did it stop me? Nah!

The search is over!

I have been searching high 'n low for the right pair of ankle booties to wear this fall, I even searched some on the internet and collected this set for inspiration, and then after seeing this Givenchy ruched wedge ankle booties, i thought this was it! It was perfect! I love the color, love how it is ruched, the peeptoe and of course, the wedge heel, oh, wedge! How I love wedge!

And then I thought it's Givenchy! Oh right, I forgot, I couldn't afford it  :-(

But these gray ankle booties I found are just as awesome! It may not be as awesome as the Givenchy booties but these will do... They look fab with my skinny jeans, my shorts and leggings, I may even wear them with my mini-dresses...
Lots of outfit possibilities! And it didn't left my wallet empty... ;-)

Outfit Inspiration for Fall - Stripes+Pink+Gray+Denims

I recently been to a shopping trip and all I saw displayed in stores were stripes! Even some of the shoppers were wearing one, either in combo of black & white, gray & white, gray & black, and so I said to myself, maybe i'd buy a few! A few? I ended up buying almost every 'striped' thing I saw...[I hope my husband doesn't get to read this!]

Tsk tsk! I really have a problem, I know! I need a good spanking right now!

So, now that I have one too many striped thing in my closet, how i'd wear them is a dilemma!

And so, when I saw this,

a light bulb inside my head suddenly lit up [I watched a lot of cartoons]...

I instantly thought 'inspiration'!

I especially liked the idea of combining pink, white & gray with a pop of turquoise and gold,

I never would've thought that gold would go nicely with gray...

So, here's stripey outfit no.1!

I modified it a bit since I'm dressing up for Fall... I ditched the gold sandals and put on my slouchy pink/old rose boots with a strip of silver on each side, it's really, really old like 3 years old old, and it's also really, really cheap like Php200.00 cheap! I'm not kidding! I bought it at 25yuan (x6.8 more or less) in March 2007, at the tail-end of winter. It's my all-time favorite boots coz it has wedge heels which adds a good 2 inches to my height but despite that it's very light and comfy to walk on in, and it's pink, of course! Also, I used my pink sweater [also old, 2004 or 2005 can't even remember], in case it gets chilly in the afternoon/night, just wrapped it around my neck, instead of the short-sleeved blouse.

Did I mention that I bought almost every stripey thing i saw? Yes? So, you know this is not gonna be the first and last stripey post of mine that you're gonna see, right?
