Every Saturday afternoon, I try to make an effort to meet the hubs after work and squeeze in a few hours of quality 'couple time', just wandering the mall, shopping for merchandise for 'D SHOP, have dinner and coffee...

What I wore - Mother's day

I do not expect gifts for every ocassion (especially after getting an iPhone 4S just recently on our anniversary), don't get me wrong, I love getting gifts but I'm perfectly happy with or without gifts, simple greetings and 'i love yous' work fine with me but i have such a generous husband who loves to spoil us rotten! 

He loves to shower us with gifts!

He gave me a complete outfit from Bershka to wear on Mother's Day... I'm lucky I know!

TREND ALERT - Floral shorts

Shield your eyes! My spring legs are out!

I recently got this floral shorts and I'm having fun pairing it with a lot of other things in my closet, I especially love styling it with fun, pastel-colored belts and I'm having a hard time deciding which one to wear...

I also thought this slim woven neutral belt could work as well!

Summer's been really hot this year and 'shorts' is the only thing i can bear wearing.  

And how cute is this white shorts *dunno her name, but she's the wife of basketball star Bosh* is wearing?


I had this similar white shorts but I can't seem to wear it out coz it looked like I'm wearing just an 'undie' or 'bloomer' (is that what it's called?), haha! I can see hubs' looking weird at me like I'm crazy or something, saying -- "are you really gonna wear that out?" Hahaha!

What I wore - Trip to IKEA

It was very hot last Sunday [yes, even when the A/C is turned on], the hubs suggested we go hang out someplace cooler... I was glad he said that because I've been itching to go to IKEA ever since last weekend and he said, as if reading my mind, "let's go to IKEA!" 

So, to IKEA we went and this is what I wore...

What I Wore -- Neon + Stripes @ Gabe's Piano Recital

I wore this last Sunday at Gabe's piano recital... This wasn't my initial planned outfit but it rained, so I just wore this short and striped tee combo... and to add a pop of color, a hot pink slim belt and my neon pink Roxy bag... and my new black wedge seen in this post.

This is my outfit last Sunday 05.01.11 when hubby and I had a rare chance to go out by ourselves -- it is some sort of our 'anniversary date'... And yeah, I went [kinda'] all-out for my man wearing short-shorts! [I knew he love my legs!] 
It is now too hot to wear jeans or leggings.

This outfit was not planned, i just threw it all together and liked the outcome, I'm not sure about the sandals though, I should've worn this wedge for added color and visual interest to a somewhat plain black and white combo but since I knew there'd be lots of walking involved, i decided to go with comfort...

The white lace top is thrifted -- only P65.00 or $1.50... SCORE!

Who says you can't wear shorts in the fall?

In this post, I talked about how i went crazy shopping for stripey outfits and ended up having one too many stripey outfit in my wardrobe, so wearing them and styling them differently becomes a challenge...

Thus, i'd be featuring one stripey outfit at a time in the following posts,

We went to christmas warehouse in SZ city, it suddenly felt like I'm in the middle of Divisoria, sans the garbage!

Outfit Inspiration for Fall - Stripes+Pink+Gray+Denims

I recently been to a shopping trip and all I saw displayed in stores were stripes! Even some of the shoppers were wearing one, either in combo of black & white, gray & white, gray & black, and so I said to myself, maybe i'd buy a few! A few? I ended up buying almost every 'striped' thing I saw...[I hope my husband doesn't get to read this!]

Tsk tsk! I really have a problem, I know! I need a good spanking right now!

So, now that I have one too many striped thing in my closet, how i'd wear them is a dilemma!

And so, when I saw this,

a light bulb inside my head suddenly lit up [I watched a lot of cartoons]...

I instantly thought 'inspiration'!

I especially liked the idea of combining pink, white & gray with a pop of turquoise and gold,

I never would've thought that gold would go nicely with gray...

So, here's stripey outfit no.1!

I modified it a bit since I'm dressing up for Fall... I ditched the gold sandals and put on my slouchy pink/old rose boots with a strip of silver on each side, it's really, really old like 3 years old old, and it's also really, really cheap like Php200.00 cheap! I'm not kidding! I bought it at 25yuan (x6.8 more or less) in March 2007, at the tail-end of winter. It's my all-time favorite boots coz it has wedge heels which adds a good 2 inches to my height but despite that it's very light and comfy to walk on in, and it's pink, of course! Also, I used my pink sweater [also old, 2004 or 2005 can't even remember], in case it gets chilly in the afternoon/night, just wrapped it around my neck, instead of the short-sleeved blouse.

Did I mention that I bought almost every stripey thing i saw? Yes? So, you know this is not gonna be the first and last stripey post of mine that you're gonna see, right?

Would you wear this trend?

Korean fashion is the 'IN' fashion... They are mushrooming everywhere via online shops. Here in Shenzhen, i see them everywhere! So, when I shop, i get the luxury of choosing them personally, touching them, feeling the fabric, and most of all, i get to try them on first before buying them, something you can't do when buying online...

The 'trend' I'm seeing of late is the LACE shorts, or EYELET shorts... I've been seeing them in online shops and stores here and actually saw a couple of girls wearing them and it looked sooo cute on them i had to buy them!
I tried it on and wanted to know your opinions and IF you would consider wearing them...
