Flatforms

Remember this? I bought them last year at the start of the winter season on sale of course, wore them a few times just before the temperature dropped down and now that it's almost summer, I'm glad I could wear them again, fun huh?

Apparently, they are called 'flatforms'... which I didn't know until recently when I started seeing them around the blogworld...

*Flatforms - a cross between flat shoes and platform shoes.

Flats and platforms, get it? How cool is that?

Truth be told, I was initially not a fan  because I thought of 'em as clogs or 'bakya' [local wooden slippers worn in earlier times - once the most commonly used footwear in the Philippines before the introduction of rubber sandals. This footwear is made from local light wood like santol and laniti. It is cut to the desired foot size before being shaven until smooth. The side of the bakyâ is thick enough to be carved with floral, geometric or landscape designs. Afterwards, the bakyâ could then be painted or varnished. - wikipedia] and not really seeing them in a stylish way but after seeing them in many fashion blogs it eventually grew on me  and why would It not? It is so comfy and light in every step, I can walk tall and not have to deal with aching soles and ankles after wearing it for a whole day.

Here are some of the styles that I like.

What I wore - Chambray shirt + maxi dress as skirt

Hi y'all, I'm back after a short hiatus in observance of LENT.

Happy Easter! Rejoice, Christ is risen!
This was not my Easter outfit, this was actually last Palm Sunday.
I wore my chambray shirt [yet again - for the 3rd, (or was it 4th?) time since I bought it] and paired it with my striped maxi dress which was worn as a maxi skirt. First time to try and I love it as it gave my butt a nice shape =) photos below as evidence...

I accessorized it with large pearl necklace.
