Dressing up for SPRING!

SPRING is probably my most favorite season! It's always so fun to shop, 

lots of patterns (polka dots, stripes, paisleys, florals etc.) and colors (brights, pastels), really saying goodbye to blacks and grays of winter, lots or fun accessories too, 

which makes me happy!

Wearings lately - Lace skirt and wedge booties

It's not easy to admit not having a model's body, I don't! And I am totally not claiming that I have... I certainly don't have gym-approved abs and toned-arms but I have learned to love my womanly curves, because I honestly think that if you love the way you look, you'll be happier!

What I wore:

Plain white v-neck tee - Mango

Lace white skirt - local shop

Belt - local shop

Accessories - different local shops, (some are new, some are old; accumulated through the years)

Scarf season and colored skinnies (Wearings lately)

If you've been a long-time reader of this blog, you'll know that I'm an accessory kinda' girl... I'd always find something to add to my outfit to make it visually interesting, and since it's now fall here - scarf season (tho the weather isn't much so) I added a couple of scarves - some of my birthday loot (teal/pink - left and green paisley - right) to my growing collection..

Outfit details:

1. H&M outfit
(White lace-arm top found in the girl's section at H&M, pink skinnies from H&M, brown/gold-rimmed aviators from H&M, wedge ankle booties (new, bday gift to self)

2. Blue and teal

(White halter top, cobalt blue skinnies from H&M, white birks (sold at my shop)

3. Green and peach

(Black ribbed tee from H&M, peach skinnies, animal-print flats)

Dressing up for fall (Birthday outfit)

Dressing up for fall means outfit includes scarf and booties... It was my birthday yesterday and since my boys were at work and at school, I planned a solo trip to IKEA and this is what I wore...

I know it has been two weeks since the new year and I am posting these photos only now, been busy procrastinating - the weather's been crazy, makes me just want to sit and curl up and wrap myself with warm blanket  on the couch and read and surf in my tablet, while sipping hot chocolate...

 Been seeing lots of orange from fashion and style blogs lately and I was kinda' drawn to the color after a while...

What I wore: A mix of old and new

 We ate NYE dinner at a mexican restaurant in the city with friends and then waited for the countdown at midnight....

What I wore - Christmas shopping

The day after Gabe's birthday celebration, the whole fam slept in until noon, we stayed up until 2 in the morning and didn't sleep until almost 5 in the morning... We woke up with nothing to do so we decided to go to the shops to buy DVD's and this is what I wore... Perfectly fine weather, not too cold I was able to wear ripped jeans and my new peeptoe wedge booties and leopard-print scarf also worn here.

I have a confession to make...

I'm not much of a earring or bracelet wearer, but...

I am big on necklaces --- the statement kind...

when I see one, It kinda lures me into buying even if I already have a similar one...

 i think the above necklace looks a lot like this one i own but did it stop me? Nah!

Celebrity Outfit Inspiration - Hilary Duff

I never used to like Hilary Duff's fashion sense, let alone notice her,

but things changed after she got married... She seem to exude a certain aura nowadays,

i find her getting  prettier and prettier,  

i guess married life suits her...

I've been looking for inspiration in dressing up for fall, which means scarves, boots and layering and she is almost always pictured with a scarf and big chunky earring on, whatever she is wearing...

Here in her photo above, I tried to copy her outfit and I really liked how it turned out!

I love her style instantly! I will be paying a li'l bit more attention to her now and her choices of clothes...
